
When the computer turns on, press and hold the D key to enter LCD built-in self-test (BIST) mode. Holding down the D key will cause color bars to appear on the LCD panel. The screen alternates between black, white, red, green, and blue in addition to displaying several color bars. Examine the screen closely for any anomalies.
TFT LCDs use a thin film of transistors as opposed to standard LCDs, which use a single layer of transistors. This enables reduced power usage, quicker response times, and higher image quality. TFT LCDs are perfect for usage in portable devices since they are lighter and thinner than conventional LCDs.

Attach the breadboard to the screen. The headers that attach to the board are the ones on the side of the screen with the little blue tab and arrow. Keep in mind that the screen is oriented upside down in these photographs. Attach GND to ground and BL and +5V pins to power.
Distribution of Colors. It has been demonstrated that PLS panel types exhibit better color dispersion and accuracy when compared to IPS panel types. PLS screens are perfect for customers who need the most natural-looking visuals and color options because of their much wider color spectrum.
AMOLED screens are used by many luxury companies, like Noise, to offer better visual quality and longer battery life. However, compared to AMOLED panels, TFT screens are typically less expensive and require less power. They last longer and provide superior visibility in bright light.
-Plane Line Switching, or PLS Samsung's in-house developed LCD display design is comparable to IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology. PLS and IPS often offer higher maximum brightness and improved viewing angles and image quality. You can obtain a more realistic representation of color using IPS.
Image Quality: Both IPS and PLS panels function incredibly well in terms of color accuracy and image quality. PLS panels, according to some users, offer somewhat better color reproduction and more constant color accuracy than IPS panels, particularly at extreme viewing angles.
In addition to being fuel-intensive and thin, AMOLED displays also offer the best image quality currently possible. This means that in the future, they can be made translucent, elastic, bending, or even rollable and stretchable, opening up a wide range of uses.
